1. Approval of Subdivision Plans (Survey Plans / Cadastral Maps)

For approval of a land subdivision plan, the land area must exceed 10 perches for areas under the Housing and Town Development Ordinance.

For areas under the Urban Development Authority Act, the land area is 6 perches.

2. Documents Required for Submission

1. Correctly completed application form
2. Original and a certified copy of the survey plan of the relevant land
3. Deed copy of the relevant land - if the deed was registered after 2020, the Provincial Revenue Department seal must be affixed
4. Land suitability certificate obtained from the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO)

3. Fees

A fee of Rs. 300.00 is charged for approval of the land subdivision plan.

For areas under the Urban Development Authority Act, this fee varies depending on the extent of the land.
